When a child suddenly becomes ill, there’s no time to plan. Most of the time, the family has to travel far to get special treatment. And the costly accommodation is surely a big financial burden for the family. That’s why MINISO Australia and RMHC GWS would like to work hand in hand and support those families with sick kids.
About Ronald McDonald House Westmead
Ronald McDonald House Westmead was established in 1986 and has since provided a warm and friendly home away from home for almost 12,000 families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
They offer a safe and welcoming environment where families can stay connected, and parents can communicate more easily with their child's medical team. 2018 saw Ronald McDonald House Westmead completely transformed into a purpose-built, 60-room accommodation facility to be able to cater to more families in need.
Why Miniso Australia calls on love for families with sick kids
Keeping families together significantly improves the recovery of seriously ill children. A warm and comfortable place to stay can also keep the family relieved from costly accommodations and they can save more time and money accompanying their sick kids.
